Join Wilsonville Parks and Recreation for our annual W.E.R.K. Day event! Complimentary breakfast from 8am-9am at the Wilsonville Community Center courtesy of the Wilsonville Rotary Club. Sign up to work with friends, family members, colleagues or as an individual! WERK Day Volunteers will part from the community center from 9am-11am. Please wear long pants, closed toe shoes, and bring gloves and water. Volunteers under the age of 18 will need a parent/guardian signature to participate.

Goat Petting | 10 AM-12 PM Stein-Boozier Barn

FREE Goat Petting will be from 10am-2pm near the Stein-Boozier Barn. The goats will be eating invasive ivy and other plants the weeks leading up to this event. Come see them hard at work.

 

Earth Day- Our power, our planet  | 10 am-2 pm, Stein Boozier Barn

Join the City of Wilsonville Natural Resources Department for this Earth Day Event on May 10th from 10am to 2pm at the Stein-Boozier Barn. Engage with exhibitors focused on renewable energies, climate literacy, and what individuals can do to reduce their carbon footprint. Enjoy family friendly activities, prizes, and refreshments. Celebrate climate action and the power of community and environmental stewardship.

  • SMART Bike Repair Van 10am-12pm
    • Roll up for a tune up! The South Metro Area Regional Transit (SMART) bike repair van will be available to give your two-wheel vehicle some TLC.
  • Solar Oven S'mores - ongoing
    • Use the power of the sun to make a tasty treat! Learn about solar energy as your S’more cooks to perfection.
  • Energy Education Squad Trivia and Prize Drawings (11am, 12pm, 1pm, 2pm)
    • Take a guess and enter your answer for a chance to win a climate friendly prize!
  • Backyard Habitat Certification Ceremony for Memorial Park pollinator Gardens 12:30pm
  • Plant Propagation with Friends of Trees - ongoing
    • Join Friends of Trees staff and create your own native plant start! Cuttings will be propagated for participants to take home.
  • Earth Day Pledge- ongoing
    • Use your creativity to make an Earth Day pledge. How will you use your power to help the planet this year?
  • Climate Action Wheel- ongoing
    • Spin the climate action wheel to get a quick, low-cost tip on how to reduce your carbon footprint at home. Everyone who spins gets a prize!
  • Lobby for the Planet - ongoing
    • Let your voice be heard! Help the Citizen’s Climate Lobby write letters to state government officials.
  • Park Stewardship 10-11am - Bring your own work gloves
    • Build sweat equity in Memorial Park by helping remove English ivy from standing conifers within this shared open space.
