Planning Commission:

On Wednesday, May 13, 2026, beginning at 6 pm, the Planning Commission will hold a public hearing regarding the Housing Statutory Compliance, Part 1, and will consider whether to recommend to City Council adoption of the proposed Code amendments.

You will not receive another notice unless you: submit a request in writing or by phone, or submit testimony or sign-in at the hearing.   

City Council:

On Monday, June 1, 2026, beginning at 7 pm, the City Council will hold a public hearing regarding the Housing Statutory Compliance, Part 1, after which it may make the final decision.

The hearings will take place at Wilsonville City Hall, 29799 SW Town Center Loop East.  A complete copy of the project record, including staff report, findings, and recommendations, will be available online and at City Hall for viewing seven (7) days prior to each public hearing.

Summary of Proposal:

The Development Code amendments proposed in Part 1 of the Housing Statutory Compliance project will update the City’s land use review process for residential development, requiring decisions on most land use applications to be issued after staff-level review via the Class II administrative review process. The amendments will implement Action C of the City’s Housing Production Strategy while insuring compliance with recent State legislation. Amendments include:

  • Process revisions for appeals, notifications, and the application review process
  • Updates to sections regarding the authority of the Planning Director and Development Review Board and use of the term “review authority” throughout the Code
  • A new Development Code section for the City’s waiver process clarifying it as an alternative process under State law to using clear and objective standards
  • Clear and objective site design review standards for residential development
  • An expedited annexation hearings process for residential development
  • Modifications to the administrative review square footage threshold for all existing development

How to Comment:

Oral or written testimony may be presented at the public hearings. Written comment on the proposal is also welcome prior to the public hearings. To have your written comments or testimony distributed to the Planning Commission before the meeting, it must be received no later than 2 pm on May 5, 2026. Otherwise, written comments must be received no later than 2 pm the day of the hearing to be considered. Any written testimony received after the deadline will be rejected.
