The Japanese haiku, a short 3-line unrhymed poem, has become a popular art form around the world. Learn about the history and evolution of the haiku, and key aspects of composing a haiku. Then we’ll look at some classic Japanese haiku in English translation, as well as some haiku written by contemporary Oregon poets.
