Motivated by recent events that have included a generational ice storm, massive wildfires, a heat dome event and the ongoing pandemic, the Wilsonville City Council has established a broad goal of “Engaging the Community to Support Emergency Preparedness and Resiliency.”
heARTs of Wilsonville: Many Cultures, One Heart
The City of Wilsonville in collaboration with the Arts, Culture and Heritage Commission requested applications from talented emerging or professional artists to submit unique and artistic design concepts to then paint onto fiberglass heart sculptures that measure 52" X 52" X 10" . The Arts, Culture, and Heritage Commission along with members from the DEI Committee reviewed applications and awarded the ten hearts to the artists listed below.
